My Sweet Boy

Matthew has started crossing his legs at times, it is the cutest thing ever. Usually he does it while he's drinking his milk. This day I had put him on the couch while I was getting his milk and I came around the corner and he was watching TV with his leg crossed, just like his Uncle Travis! He must be a real man :)
Unfortunately, he looked at me; his hearing is so good, and as soon as he heard the sound of the camera he looked and I couldn't get him to look back at the TV. Is he not the cutest thing ever?
Here is some of the best news of all on August 12, 2011, Matthew officially started picking up food up off of his tray and actually getting it into his mouth. He has been able to do this with things like veggie sticks and pizza crust, but anything else, especially small items, he couldn't even get up off of the tray. In the off chance he did the food either stuck to his hand, he would drop it, or was unable to get it into his mouth. I put small little graham cracker bear cookies usually to entertain him while I get his food ready. When I was done I went over and the cookies were gone. They weren't on the floor, they weren't on his tray. I then put some more on his tray and watched him pick them up and get them into his mouth. What a glorious day, this is so huge. I have been waiting for him to do this for sometime now. I can now give him snacks while I'm busy cooking dinner and he can keep himself busy without crying at me letting me know he is hungry. He really is getting stronger and developing slowly but he is developing and learning new things. He is starting to work on crawling and I know with time he will be able to master it.

Also we went to see an orthopedic doctor and after looking at Matthew he said I think he will walk someday. He doesn't know when or to what capacity (assisted or unassisted) but he feels he will walk. I have always felt that but to hear it from a doctor was wonderful. Matthew is starting to enjoy toys much more and is communicating more, even if it is crying and yelping. He is a joy and I love him. I am so proud of him and all his achievements. He will be starting school in September and I am so excited for him. I think it will help him improve even more. Way to go buddy!

The 4th of July

We did our annual family trip to Eagar for the 4th of July. We had a pancake breakfast at the park and then we headed down to Main Street to watch the parade. Here we are as a family.
I did terrible at taking pictures while there, so this is one of two that got taken. Here is Abby relaxing on the back porch, probably watching the hummingbirds.

My Babies

March 2011

This is strictly for comparison sakes. Poor Matthew is referred to as one of the babies. Age wise he is not but developmentally he is. So, here are my babies.

June 2011
I usually change the babies at the same time and I came in from grabbing their clothes and they were doing the same thing, I thought it was too funny!
My twins that are 26 months apart!

Arts and Letters Night

May2010

Sawyer placed 3rd in the poetry recitation contest. She got a medal for placing. We didn't tell her she got an award so she was surprised when she got called up. My video of her didn't turn out really well so all we have are the pictures.
Here she is with her medal, we are so proud of her.

My Sweet Children

March 2011

One morning I came and found my three children sitting on the couch watching TV and just thought this was precious.
Matthew noticed me but the girls were totally oblivious.

April 2011
Abby is a big help with Sesilie. This is what she did while she wasn't in school. If Sesilie would cry in the morning while I was feeding Matthew and so Abby would pick her up get the boppy pillow and sit down on the couch with her. It is kind of scary but at the same time I love that she does this.
