Happy St. Patrick's Day

I love my little green children. I honestly don't remember what we did I just know I took a picture.

Abby at the Dentist

February 2011

Abby got to go to the dentist for the first time. She did really good. She got to wear these cool star sunglasses because the light was shining in her eyes. I thought she looked too cute and had to snap a picture. She looks so fancy!

Sesilie Renee Neus

Okay so I'm a little behind even for this post but I feel like I need to hurry and get this one done and then I can back track at my convenience. So here is the story of Sesilie's birth. My due date was February 6th. I had a doctor's appointment the next day on the 7th. At my appointment Dr. Tutt asked what I wanted to do; if I wanted to wait a few days and see, if he wanted me to have him set an induction date, etc. I told him I really didn't care, I just didn't want to have the baby the 12th-14th. He said, why don't I call down to the hospital and see what is available. When I came out of the room he asked how was 8pm that night. I was like sure. I wasn't expecting it to be so soon. I left and went home to get everything ready to have a baby.
Here I am that evening before we went in. That night I called in at 7pm to make sure I could come in. When I called they said that they just had a rush of people come in and that they'd call when there was a bed available. Well at about 11:45 that night they called and said to come on in for my induction. We got there at 12am and got admitted. I got into the room and got all hooked up to the pictocin and an antibiotic. I tried to get a little sleep but then around 3am I woke up because the contractions got too uncomfortable. For the next 30 minutes I tried to figure out if I needed an epidural or if I could wait. I finally decided I was done, and asked for an epidural. Around 4am I finally got it and let me tell you I love the relief of no contractions especially pictocin contractions, those stink. A little after 6am Dr. Tutt came in and broke my water. This time I called my mom and let her know so she wouldn't miss Sesilie coming like she did Matthew. Anyway, again I tried to get a little sleep. Around 7am I started feeling contractions on my left side and they were pretty strong and quite frequent. I also started feeling a lot of pressure, this I remember from when I had Matthew, so I had a feeling I was ready. Of course it was shift change so I had to wait about 10 minutes for the nurse to come in. Instead of telling her I was ready, I just said my epidural is wearing off on my left side. She asked if I had pushed the button, didn't realize I had a button, could have used that knowledge when I had Abby, oh well. Anyway, she said well let me check you first, I was complete. She told me not to push and started getting everything ready. Dr. Tutt had run home to shower real quick, he'd been on-call all night, and they said he'd be there in about 15 minutes. I was like seriously, because feeling the contractions on one side was quite painful, I know at least I had something. Finally, Dr. Tutt got there and I got ready to push, I started to push and my mom was like oh there's the head. So I kind of stopped pushing not remembering what I was supposed to do. Do I keep pushing, do I wait until the Dr. gets the shoulders out, so I kind of pushed a little more and she just slipped out, no episiotomy! (Just a small tear). That was the best delivery ever she came out on like a half push!
She was born at 7:28am weighing 5lbs. 14 oz. and 19 3/4 in. I know she is tiny. I was shocked when they said she was that small. She has been my smallest so far. I had to go buy premie clothes because everything I had was huge on her.
What a little cutie.
Mom and baby doing just fine.
Hello world!
Sawyer was so excited to have a new baby sister. She told my mom when she drove her to school that it was the best day ever. She had a new sister and she got to eat lunch in the classroom while watching a movie! Here she is later that day with her baby sister. Not the greatest picture but all I've got right now. Here are my girls!

Abby's Last Day

Abby reached all her speech goals for school. She still doesn't have all her letter sounds but many of those don't fully develop until later, some up to the age of 8. Anyway, so she graduated and as of January 14th she will no longer go to preschool. Yeah, but at the same time darn. She loves school but I am glad she is finally audible. I don't know if I'm happy with the timing since the baby is coming or happy with it. I guess time will tell.

Here she is going to school on the bus for the last time, tear drop.

Here Abby is coming home, no more school, well for this year at least.

Ward Party

December 2010

We had our ward party. We had dinner, a program, and then we had Santa Clause. Sawyer doesn't like sitting on Santa's lap but Abby was all about that. We put Matthew on there as well. He actually did really well, except... he was yanking on Santa's beard.
Just another picture of the Abby and Matthew.

Sawyer's Winter Sing

Sawyer singing with her classmates.

Singing Old Man Winter

Sawyer was chosen to sing a solo (group number) while the grades were exiting and entering the stage. Sawyer after her concert.

Snow Trip

December 2010

My parents had a timeshare in Flagstaff for the week. We decided to drive up Friday night to go play in the snow. Marcus was out of town so we took Ruth and Neil with us to help give Megan a break. By the time we got there there wasn't a lot of snow but enough to throw around and get cold in.
Here Sawyer is walking back to the car crying because her dad threw snow at her. She doesn't get playing in the snow I guess.
Abby, Ruth, and Neil walking around in the snow.

Abby off on her own just walking around, trying not to fall but unsucessful. Sawyer and Ruth trying to get snowballs made. Unfortunately the snow wasn't sticking so we couldn't make a snowman. Also the snowballs didn't work really well. We mostly just threw snow at each other.

Brendon getting in on the action. Looks like Ruth got Brendon.

Here is live action of the snow fight. Everyone making snow angels.

Abby's favorite thing to do in the snow, eat it!
Ruth throwing snow at me, how dare she!
Sawyer, thinking she's gonna throw snow at me!
Everyone had a good time in the snow!

Matthew's Eye Surgery

November 30, 2010

Matthew had surgery on his right eye. His eyes weren't working together so he had surgery on the muscle in his eye. In hopes that it would retrain his brain to make his eyes work together. The surgery went really well, and the doctor has been pleased with the results. He just looked really sad for a long time. His eye got really swollen and red. This is right after the surgery. He is my little champ!

Abby Dancing

We were at my cousin Erin's wedding reception. We were sitting down eating when Abby heard this song come on and had to dance. I know the video is not the right way. It was hilarious, of course her cousin Kayda had to follow. Those two are two peas in a pod.

The Car Ride Home

Winter 2010

On the way home from Grandma Evans's house Matthew and Abby fell asleep, too cute. I just love pictures of my children sleeping. They look so sweet and peaceful. Sawyer was in the back getting upset because the flash kept flashing and hurting her eyes.

Field Trip to Arizona Science Center

November 2010

Sawyer wanted me to go with her on her fieldtrip. We got to go to the Arizona Science Center. It was a lot of fun, I was glad I got to go. Sure beat going to the farm in 1st grade.
This was my group of girls, Sawyer, Cyannah, and Carmen. Sawyer and I in the bus waiting to leave the school. This is a picture of the girls watching an interactive video.

Here is a sample of what they saw and felt. It was really quite neat feeling the wind, rain, heat, etc.
The girls playing in the sand and water... ...making dams and streams.Sawyer spinning, and laying on a bed of nails!

Here is a really cool part of the fire demonstration. Of course I had my camera sideways, why can't I remember to keep it straight.

Abby's Costume Parade and Fall Carnival

October 28, 2010

I made it just in time to see Abby in her parade. She was so excited to wear her costume to school. Of course I have my camera the wrong way so the video is sideways, sorry. Here Abby is dressed up as Belle in her parade. Abby getting blindfolded, so she can pick out a prize. What prize is she going to get? Abby at the bean bag toss. Abby at the pumpkin bowl, she's a natural, must get that from her dad! Abby with her class. Abby getting her hand painted, instead of her face. The finished product.

Matthew's 2nd Birthday

Matthew is 2 years old! I can't believe it. He has come so far in his two years, yet we still have a long way to go. Matthew celebrated his birthday with the Neus family with Grandpa Neus. We went out for dinner, it was yummy, afterwards we got to roast marshmellows. I didn't get any pictures from that night, oops! We celebrated earlier with the Evans Family when we had family night at our house. October 25th
Here Matthew is opening his presents with the help of his sister, Sawyer! What a nice shirt Cool PJ's, thanks Aunt Karen Singing Happy Birthday, do you like the candles. I had one normal candle and a number 1, it works right?
Matthew having a taste of his cookie...
...and some ice cream...
...mmm that is good!

Afterwards Matthew was being silly and trying to eat the table. He'd never done this before, silly boy!

Sawyer and Soccer

September - November 2010

Sawyer did soccer again after a 2 year hiatus, she had a really good coach that really helped her learn more about the game. She did a really good job and learned a lot.

Here she is dribbling the ball.

Sawyer in action, I'm sure the ball is about to be stolen from her.

Crazy Abby watching Sawyer play soccer. It is always a fun time trying to keep her entertained at the soccer games.

A view of the game.

Sawyer as goalie, she loves being goalie.

Half-time pep talk.

After Sawyer's soccer practice we were driving home. I thought Abby was in her seat but she had sat down on the floor between the seats and fell asleep. This is how I found her.

It is amazing the places she falls asleep. She is crazy and plays hard, but when she is ready to sleep, there is no stopping her.
